 New research shows that kids are influenced to try food — or pester their parents for it — by licensed and spokes characters in advertising. An interesting thing happened when University of Ottawa researchers asked kids whether they would eat, buy or pester their parents to buy food and drink based on ads with licensed characters, “spokes characters” or nothing at all.
