PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – Governor Ron DeSantis announced $1 billion in tax relief for Florida families in the upcoming months.

Disaster Preparedness holidays start from June 1 through June 14. It will resume again from August 24 through September 6.

Families can prepare for hurricane season with items like tarps, batteries, and flashlights, all sales tax-free.


Gov. DeSantis announces more tax holidays for Florida

The Freedom Month sales tax holiday is held for the whole month of July. Families can purchase summer items like pool floats, fishing supplies, and outdoor equipment. In addition, sales tax-free admissions to museums, concerts, and state parks.

The back-to-school sales tax holiday begins July 29 through August 11. Florida residents can save on pencils, computers, clothing, and other school supplies.

There’s also a tool time sales tax holiday from September 1 through September 7. Residents can save on power tools, hand tools, toolboxes, and other items.
