PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) – Florida restaurants continue to survive and thrive keeping residents and visitors coming back for more, from Cuban cuisines to delicious seafood.

On Friday, Capt. Anderson’s Restaurant & Waterfront Market was recognized by Southern Living as one of ‘Florida’s 17 Most Legendary Restaurants’.

“The restaurant has been a Gulf Coast institution for over 50 years and is known for serving more fresh local seafood than any other dining room in Florida. Still today, the family-run establishment works directly with seafarers who make their living harvesting in Gulf and Bay waters”, according to Southern Living.

“We are beyond grateful and honored to be recognized by Southern Living as the most legendary restaurant in Florida! This outstanding honor would not be possible without our loyal Capt. Anderson’s Crew and all of you!” Capt. Anderson’s Restaurant officials wrote.
