Symposium founders say the convention is a great resource to the Jackson County community and has allowed residents to value positive mental health.

“We just like to encourage people to come out and participate,” said Chipola College Dean of General Studies Dr. Willie Spires. “That’s the main thing, to get people aware of what’s going on in society. To recognize when someone is in need of help and to encourage people to come for help when they need help and not worry about the stigma associated with it.”

The symposium is free to attend.
