Revellers brave smoggy skies and hot, humid temperatures to celebrate Canada Day at LeBreton Flats

 Amid dazzling musical performances and speeches, the themes of the day included reconciliation, diversity, inclusion and the continuing conversations Canadians are having over the country’s colonial history. Thousands of red-and-white-clad revellers braved the smoggy, wildfire smoke-filled skies and muggy, humid temperatures to pack into LeBreton Flats to wish Canada a happy 156th birthday before severe weather brought a quick end to the party.
