PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – The 27th Annual Blessing of the Fleet, fish fry, and burning of the socks are being rescheduled.

The event was set for this Saturday however, due to the potential for inclement weather the event organizers are changing the date. It has become a spring tradition in Panama City.


Boats get blessed at 26th Annual ‘Blessing of the Fleet’

Boats and fishermen are blessed ahead of the fishing season.

There’s also a fish fry that raises money for Second Chance of Northwest Florida, a non-profit serving all the needs of adults with traumatic brain injuries and their families.

The Blessing of the Fleet is now rescheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024.
